HERE’S ANOTHER: So many fools, so little time, Linda Holliday threatens VEXNEWS but then falls dumb
In further celebration of April Fool’s Day, we’re dusting off the defo files and presenting some recent and previously unpublished legal threats dealt with by the VEXNEWS Legal Department. This one was from a prominent ALP leftist in Queensland who plotted with her friend, a crusading human rights lawyer, to brutally suppress VEXNEWS, censor it, identify its sources, obtain details about those daring to comment here and other outrages no court would authorise.
APRIL’S FOLLY: Melissa Meehan foolishly threatens defo lawsuits while claiming to believe in “robust journalism”
It’s sometimes those who talk loudest at dinner parties about freedom of speech and freedom of the press who are the most inclined to censor material they don’t like. Melissa Meehan, a self-professed believer in “robust journalism”, has threatened VEXNEWS with defamation proceedings for saying mean things about her newspaper. It’s April Fool’s Day but this is no joke.
