WITH FRIENDS LIKE THESE: Why the Labor government should be put out of its misery

This official federal government media release should be parody, complete with its promise of climate-change related enviro-salons, with basket-weaving, candle-making and such. But it’s no joke. Politically, of course, it’s the government that’s left a laughing stock. Shame on those responsible for this. Shame on the government and the minister that allows this to be done in Labor’s name.

MAYNE SHAME: Governance crusader wants development on open space, dissenters boned and threatens to quit council early

Stephen Mayne really is a bad egg. He pretends to be a governance and accountability crusader when on the ABC but when actually trusted with public office, as a sleazy local councillor, he tries to slam through controversial and unpopular development proposals, wants to “sanction” those in the community who oppose his view and frequently threatens to spit the dummy and resign in protest.

NO GUTS NO GLORY: Liberal students urging party leadership to revive WorkChoices

With the Coalition vote soaring, the University of West Australia Liberal Club has resolved that the Liberals ought to re-introduce the once-controversial labour market reform package “WorkChoices.”
