Billionaire Solomon Lew’s illegal pool to be removed

Melbourne’s most obnoxious billionaire Solomon Lew has agreed with Mornington Shire Council to remove the illegally constructed swimming pool Lew had built on public land in a nature reserve, potentially overlooking a nudist beach.

The Age, which unusually pleased by reporting on this saga prominently and persistently, report that Lew has to suck up council legal fees of $150K and will pay a fine of $50K.

The original works by prestige home builder Krongolds are believed to have cost around $800K and were settled mostly in cash in a transaction that may yet attract keen interest from the authorities if it was not properly disclosed by those involved.

So it’s been a rather expensive swimming pool in his notoriously greedy daughter’s holiday house she is apparently no longer interested in using.
