North Korean minister executed by mortar for drinking during 100-day Kim Jong-il mourning period

The North Korean regime doesn’t muck around when it comes to punishing wrongdoers. When a minister broke the 100-day mourning period for the late Kim Jong-il, it was definitely a career-limiting move.

His disappointed son Kim Jong-un ordered Kim Chol, the vice-minister of the Army, to be executed by mortar round so that “no trace” of the tippler would be found.
