SUCK IT UP SOL: Lew’s illegally built pool meets heavy-duty concrete saw of justice
Retail billionaire Solomon Lew’s theft of public land for the sly construction of an illegal swimming pool was brought to an end yesterday after a campaign of people power by the good people of Mt Eliza, surprisingly competent investigations by the Sunday Age, the rugged determination of the Mornington Peninsula Shire and its local MP and a heavy-duty concrete saw of justice that ripped through the infinity pool some thought built by Sol to maximise his views of the nudist beach nearby.
Determined local councillor patriot local councillor Leigh Eustace played a crucial role.
The debacle is believed to have cost Lew and his smug daughter Jaki the best part of $2 million in the original construction of the pool, legal costs, settlement with the council including agreeing to the demolition. Ms Lew is believed to avoid Mt Eliza like the plague, with sources familiar with the matter saying she’s likely to sell the property, possibly as early as this summer.
The Mornington Peninsula News, which obtained photographs of the joyous demolition derby, reports locals became aware of it as a result of boastful workers, engaged by Krongold Constructions, bragging about the deception in a bar. The Lew family had told locals they were building a water tank but the workers chucked about the fact it was actually a very expensive swimming pool.
The Lews went to great lengths to keep the pool construction “off-book” even paying Krongold in cash, in a transaction that continues to maintain the interest of authorities.

What an endless source of misery to the world is Sol Lew. Good to see the old money folk of Mt Eliza sticking him right in the eye.

Our dear comrades at The Age, via their Cameron Houston, seized upon this compelling yarn this morning, even offering up their own exciting imagery of excavators of freedom carrying on their important work. Poor Sol, he’s gotta be Australia’s richest, saddest old bloke. Locals will be pleased to know that while the public land Lew attempted to steal is in pretty bad shape at the moment, it will be fully rehabilitated, at Lew the Looter’s expense. Via eagle-eyed locals, we’ll keep an eye out for that to ensure local shrubs and wildlife are restored to their rightful place, such is our commitment to the environment.

The local Councillor Leigh Eustace has been steadfast against this pool remaining. He has represented Mt Eliza surperbly over the last 4 years and is up for re-election. He is up against a candidate backed by millionaires and several running mates. Something for VEXNEWS to look into as we have a fantastic Councillor who we are at risk of losing because some are not happy they cannot do as they please. Well done to Councillor Eustace. A stunning achiever and peoples representative.

Other interesting articles in this weeks Mornington News regarding the election and influence of some wealthy individuals. The pool demolition has been long awaited and fantastic that Cr Eustace has stuck to his word and seen it removed despite any rich persons influence. He has my vote 1. At least money does not sway his actions.
If he was in Israel may have been stealing Palestinian land as well.
Vex has been awfully quiet about the SEVEN MILLION DOLLAR payout to Rapke. All of you public service parasites must be so impressed. I don’t have much sympathy for Sol hes a big guy and can look after him self and wouldn’t lose any sleep about this type of stuff however I,m not sure what the mans religion has to do with the subject , do we know or care what religion say alan Bond, Skase or the brothel Mp are.Do we know what religion the yobbo that murdered the Irish girl is , or is it relevant? Cr Eustace has my vote 1 in the coming council elections. Finally we have someone who fights against big money and well connected people. Just look at what a couple of unhappy local multi millionaires and another councillor are doing to have him not re-elected. It isn’t right and voters need to take a stance and support our current councillor.
