BAD TO THE BONER: PM’s accuser is sleazy sex tourist, preying on vulnerable young Thai women

The man on whom The Australian relied for a front-page attack on the Prime Minister implying she was an embezzler is a low-life sex-predator who trawls Asia for vulnerable, suspiciously young women. We look at the life and slimes of self-admitted crook and former AWU militant leftist Ralph Blewitt and realise he has plenty of reason to seek immunity from prosecution that doesn’t have anything at all to do with Australian politics.

The nation’s broadsheet, The Australian, recently splashed with claims made by a former leftist union crook, Ralph Blewitt, implying the PM was some kind of embezzler because she had – twenty years ago – hooked up with another leftist union crook, Bruce Wilson. By his own admission, Blewitt was a fraudster, ripping off AWU members until its current moderate leadership democratically were restored to control of its Victorian branch which has, from those dark days, prospered and grown.

We wrote at the time of Blewitt’s emergence that The Australian was taking a big punt with its hard-earned reputation for quality and integrity in news-reporting. Most suspect that while the PM made an unwise choice of boyfriend back in the day, that it is highly unlikely the ambitious young woman deliberately or knowingly involved herself in any wrongdoing by Wilson, Blewitt or ugly leftist forces within the AWU in the early 1990s. Essentially, Wilson and Blewitt seemed to have operated a slush fund or campaign fund, for their extreme left political faction’s “reform group” which received monies from employers with which they were dealing and that some of those funds were taken and applied for personal benefit to them. Prompted by their moderate AWU opponents, a criminal investigation occurred into this situation nearly twenty years ago, so it’s unclear what crimes occurred, if any.

Blewitt declared: “I’ll come clean” in return for immunity from prosecution from crimes he was not yet willing to explain to the public. We may be able to shed some light on the full extent of Blewitt’s wrongdoing.

VEXNEWS can now confirm that The Australian’s principal source, Ralph Blewitt is a demonstrably sleazy and exploitative sex tourist who uses and abuses for self-gratification suspiciously young Thai women in the most depraved and sex-fiendish of ways.

The exploitation of effectively enslaved women in Thailand is a serious problem.

SEX PREDATOR
Photographic evidence obtained by the hard-working and globally connected VEXNEWS Investigations Unit stunningly reveals the PM’s accuser to be a dirty old man sex tourist who jests with his mates about Thai and Malaysian women being potential sex workers (based on their appearance and breast size), frequently attends “massarge (sic) parlor(s)”, poses for photographs with young women believed to involved in the sex trade and engaged in a chilling conversation with mates where he (next to a pic of a suspiciously young woman next to a scooter:

“Now this would be a nice ride”

His friend Michael Pepper responds: The scooter or the chick Ralph?

Ralph Blewitt chillingly declares: “Pepper 4 you the scooter Mate.. every one else gets the Sheila Mate after I’ve finished with her.

And continuing in the same vein, in return for the gift of a keyring from one of his sleazy mates, Blewitt continued discussing the very young woman:

“Just for that you can b/4 me on the scooter and I might even consider letting you have thru first ride… Ha Ha Ha.”

We think the joke is on The Australian for taking seriously the word of a sex predator who preys on suspiciously young-looking Thai women and has admitted to all kinds of wrongdoing.

While he holds himself out as an old lefty with sufficiently comradely credentials that he could admit to a spot of malfeasance, even sharing the rebellious works of Henry Lawson with his new-found chum, sleazy millionaire Larry Pickering, whose own conduct is the subject of a current VEXNEWS investigation.

Ralphblewiitlawson

And yet the crooked old lefty’s views – as recorded on his social network page – appear to be more in sync with prevailing shock-jock wisdom rather than what would have been accepted in leftist circles.

His Facebook “likes” include an anti-Gillard hate page, a smut page “Weekend forecast: Mostly wasted with slight chance of getting laid,” and the apparently conservative “Before you say ‘bring our troops back from war’ How about you ask them if they want to be there?” group.

This suggests the little Aussie digger with a fondness for suspiciously young-looking, vulnerable Asian women has grown conservative with the passage of time. Nothing wrong with that but it’s not really consistent with the lefty rebel image he seemed keen to project.

The old bloke has shared many of his opinions with the social network, including expressing enthusiasm for drug-testing welfare recipients – a proposal too rich even for the true believers of the Western Australian division of the Liberal Party at a recent conference – and opposition to “Labor’s Carbon Tax” while maintaining the view that soldiers ought be paid more than footballers. Lefty icon, loud opposer of the exploitation of the vulnerable by the rich and powerful, Aussie poet Henry Lawson would be spinning in his grave contemplating the likes of Ralph Blewitt.

  1. Why did Julia Gillard get sacked from Slater & Gordon if she did nothing wrong?

  2. Bagging the messenger does not give th PM a free pass … why is it that she was unable to practise Law after her sacking?

Why did she have difficulty gaining pre-selection in the aftermath of the S&G sacking?

    Did she abort her child?

Did she know Wilson was married with children when she shacked up with him?

The questions are endless – this is the Office of the PM – and the fact that she has not put these stories down – or responded to direct questions – raised even more questions.

The presumption that a PM is off-limits on alleged past criminal activity has passed.

  3. Talk about dawing a long bow. That’s the best you have? Most Australian men (and plenty of women) banter like this for fun on facebook. Open your eyes. It’s good ol’ Aussie humour that proves nothing. If you have any proof of your allegations, then bring it forth. You have taken some harmless banter and crucified someone. Shame on you. What Gillard has done is fraudulent. Your attempted cover-up of her actions will be seen for what it is. You really are grubby.

  12. Andrew Landeryou the owner of this blog. This is how you investigate. Perhaps your readership would like to see who you are.

“Landeryou is the son of Bill Landeryou,[5] a former Leader of the Opposition and then the Government in the Victorian Legislative Council and a minister in the Australian Labor Party Victorian state government of John Cain. Andrew Landeryou has been active in the past in the Labor Party, and particularly the Labor Right faction. Subsequently he has been described as a “Liberal blogger.” He was elected as President of Melbourne University Student Union, taking office in January 1991. A referendum of union members removed him after five months when he proposed commercialising the union’s services.[10][1] He then became managing director of IQ Corporation, a sports statistics company, which was invested in by Solomon Lew until it went into liquidation in 2003.He was also a co-owner of Marbain, a company with a contract with MUSU. After he failed to answer a court summons in December 2004, Landeryou spent five months in Costa Rica. In May 2005, he was arrested on his return to Australia and required to attend at a liquidator’s examination of the affairs of MUSU. Landeryou was declared bankrupt by the Federal Magistrates Court in May 2006.[19] This bankruptcy was discharged on 13 July 2009.”

  36. as usual the screamers are out railing against Julia Gillard with all sorts of claims that infer much but actually don’t.

Accusing the PM or indeed Tony Abbott or any politician or anyone of being this and that because they knew someone, lived with someone, worked with someone who turns out to be a crook is the lowest form of slander and perpetuates guilt by association.

Thus one crooked unionist means ALL union members are crooks (except when they are useful hard working family folk for T.Abbott to praise in Canberra or the HR Nichols lot when bolstering a right wing nutjob unionist) but there is never this associated guilt with corporate crooks which by this method, should damn all those who belong to the bosses unions, clubs and so on.

The other method of this sociopathic lot is to say because say Gillard hasn’t been busted for theft, it’s proof she has nobbled the coppers, courts , judges and so on.

    Posted by LoonyLefty | August 18, 2012, 20:52
  37. And indeed..anyone who says :
“Blewitt declared: “I’ll come clean” in return for immunity from prosecution from crimes” should have been hauled in by the cops already as knowledge of a crime and not reporting it is a serious crime in itself.

Under law you simply do not have the option to keep knowledge of a crime to yourself and dictate terms.

the Australian should know all this and printing this rubbish just demeans them.

  42. That ghastly mincing piece of crap Pyne is screaming that Ms Gillard must ‘come clean’ because the disgraceful News Ltd (you know the lot where dozens of their workers are facing criminal charges in the UK-that lot) claim there are ‘rumours’ of something.

It’s the new low loved by many on here: I accuse and you therefore must prove your innocence. I know many coppers would love it to be that way but it isn’t. Anywhere on the planet.

Nor has VexNews accused the aptly named Blewitt of anything but pointed out his racist and msogynist writings about hapless Asian women who via poverty sometimes must live a life of indentured sex slavery. Even worse he disgracefully publishes their photos with tawdry comments without their permission nor a care about their well being.

To those who claim “everyone knows yadda yadda” you should avoid such idiotic rubbish and remember that a little over half the electorate did vote for Ms Gillard as PM so you are in the minority.

  44. @loony – another attack on our rights has been the ‘reverse onus’. eg.
“ONE of the accusations made against Peter Slipper in the complaint filed in the Federal Court by James Ashby is attempting to victimise an employee who rebuffed his sexual advances. The employee claims he is now injured as a result.
Unfortunately for the government, and despite Slipper’s denials of wrongdoing, if the court accepts Ashby’s claim that he was the subject of such an adverse action, then the usual onus of proof is reversed. So Slipper and the commonwealth will have a job to do. They will have to prove that the reason for that adverse action was not Ashby’s sexual preference.”

    Some issues:

Did Gillard do this without opening a file? if so, why?

Did Gillard do this without doing a search of the trust? If so why not?

    Where are the bank accounts?

    Which bank was it?

Were tax returns made on behalf of the trust; or was it a tax exempt trust; if so did Gillard apply for tax exempt status?

Were any of Slater and Gordon’s trust accounts associated with the trust account?

  75. Victorian Electrical Trades Union boss Dean Mighell faces questions

    by: Michael McKenna
    From: The Australian
    August 20, 2012 12:00AM

ONE of Australia’s most controversial union leaders is under investigation over the sale of his union’s majority stake in a financial advisory company for allegedly a tenth of its value and with the loss of more than $500,000 in future revenue.

Victorian Electrical Trades Union boss Dean Mighell is fighting two Federal Court cases and an independent audit ordered by the union’s national leadership after an internal probe found “financial irregularity” over the deal.

Another example of members money being wasted on lawyers ,not Mighell’s.
Why wouldn’t you let any member look at the financial records ,oh that’s right ,only if you are afraid of what they will uncover.
Why isn’t Fairwork doing anything about these crooks????

And there he is banging on about his pet obsession again. Jimmy I think perhaps you need to get out a bit more, a change of scenery. I think if your read The Age mate you will see that there are more than a few problems coming for the ETU in the Northern parts. I don’t think that Bernie will have much chance to soften the leather chairs up at FWA. Just what was that complicated little transaction all about. Start really following the money Jimmy and find out where it all really leads. Time for your pills now……c’mon.

  82. A FINANCIAL adviser who bought out the Victorian Electrical Trades Union’s majority shareholding of a company in a deal now under investigation has contradicted the union’s state secretary Dean Mighell over the terms of the sale.

Tony Devin, who took full control of Southern Alliance Financial Services after buying the ETU’s 65 per cent shareholding in 2005, yesterday disputed Mr Mighell’s claims the union continued to receive hundreds of thousands of dollars in income from the company after the sale.

As revealed in The Australian yesterday, Mr Mighell is fighting two Federal Court cases and an independent audit ordered by the union’s national leadership after an internal probe found “financial irregularity” over the deal.

The allegations centre on the $48,355 sale price which, according to a report authored by Communications Electrical and Plumbing Union national secretary Peter Tighe, was about a 10th of the company’s worth because of guaranteed incomes of more than $500,000 in just the two years after the sale.

Mr Mighell has claimed SAFS was near-worthless after the ETU had insisted the company continue to pay the union its share of future “trailling” commissions secured before the sale.

Mr Devin — who did not pay the sale price until last year despite taking control of the company in 2005 — told The Australian he had received “all revenues” from SAFS after the 2005 deal. “I paid for 100 per cent of the company, and so I am entitled to all the revenues after the sale,” he said.

Mr Mighell said yesterday he had engaged PricewaterhouseCoopers to analyse the deal and it would soon prove his federal union counterparts were wrong in their allegations.

“The issues that have been raised by Tighe have been looked at by the auditors and they have him as being totally incorrect,” he said. “And we will be able to show that we continued to receive the commissions, which were worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.”

Last year, the annual CEPU divisional conference of the electrical divisional council passed a resolution to appoint a forensic auditor to look into the sale, with Mr Tighe last month writing to Fair Work Australia alleging the Victorian branch of the ETU had refused to comply with the order.

The ETU wasn’t paid the $48,355 sale price until March last year — several months after Mr Mighell first began to face questions about the ownership status of the company.

Mr Mighell has told The Australian the deal “was above board” and the delay in the ETU receiving the proceeds was largely because an accountant had failed to “keep an eye on the records”. But Mr Tighe, in his letter to FWA after an 18-month internal investigation, questioned the sale price.
“The consideration for the share transfer was $48,355.78 which was, on a conservative estimate of the value of the shares, approximately 10 per cent of their total value,” he said.

Mr Devin said he would not comment on the sale

  83. For Larry Pickering to moan of having his freedom of speech limited by the taking down of his website, (for violations to the hosting contract), & to pretend that it was caused by some hackers with a DDoS attack, is laughable. Pickering censors any comments on his own facebook page that are don’t follow his line of hating & attacking Julia Gillard. He blocks anyone who dares to question the validity of his claims, & who suggesting the reason being more likely that the web hosting company would have terms of service, that would be breeched by publishing defamatory content. He really is a a stupid incompetent old sleazebag; trying to regain lost relevance. He seems to be too dumb to realise he is being used.

    Posted by Tarry Bickering | August 21, 2012, 11:32
  84. Of course Pickering’s site was removed because of the threat of defamation and the trolls (like him) who think they can get away with libel behind handles or via bankruptcy should take note: 2 recent court case in the UK and Melbourne now basically put web hosts at risk of being included in a lawsuit as publishers even though they all try to avoid such by claiming they are US based and guaranteed ‘freedom of speech’.

Not so claim foreign courts despite the world’s tech writers waffling on as though Google, Facebook, Twatter and so are God’s gifts despite the bunch of them actually being based in foreign tax shelters and paying limited tax on profits earned.

  86. Yet another reframe from you, Andrew. You’re not capable of debating the facts on the matter so you revert to the only way you know of arguing a point, which is muckraking and character-smearing. Here are some points for you to ignore and reframe:

    1. Blewitt is not the PM’s accuser. He has never accused her of anything; all he has done is threatened to tell the full story of the AWU scandal if he is granted immunity.

    2. You’d be hard pressed to find anyone who needed your further evidence to know that Blewitt is a scumsucking lowlife. We’re talking about a man who allegedly embezzled union funds – I don’t know of anyone who’s proffered him as a model citizen.

    3. This has absolutely nothing to do with Gillard’s guilt or innocence and the questions surrounding her involvement do not lose their pertinence just because one of her co-accused has turned out to be of even worse character than originally thought.

Nice try Andrew – but you know what would be even nicer? You actually
running a story rebutting the evidence for Gillard’s involvement instead of just mudslinging. But a story like that would require a journalist or at least a reasoned debater, whereas you’re nothing but an opinionated muckraker. Or of course you could be honest and admit that this time you stuffed up and retract your smear on The Australian. At which point the world would stop spinning, of course.

  91. Pierre you are avoiding the fact that if Blewitt had anything of substance then he doesn’t have the choice to request ‘immunity’.

If you know of a crime and you conceal the fact then you be can be charged. It’s very simple.

Nor would he ever receive ‘immunity’- it’s a fantasy and I know you people are grown up enough to know how the world of law enforcement works.

So poor old Blewitt is taking News Ltd for a ride and I cannot knock him for that. But that’s all it is.

Royal Commission into unions, bring it on and don’t stop at slush funds and branch stacking. Lets get right to the heart of it over affiliation = stealing members money and giving it to the ALP, ballot fraud and ballot theft = well you don’t think some of these tossers heading up unions got there because they are great leaders do you? Get serious. Hereditary peerages = unions employing all there useless lazy family members usually looks a bit lile the AFL ‘father/son’ rule but you find the odd daughter, wife, sister, cousin Fred twice removed. Morons = the union movement is full of blokes who are seriously deficient in the brain stakes usually through booze and chuff, they then take out their serious inadeqaucies through aggression. Dumb, drunk, racist, sexist, homophobes. Idiots waiting for some patronage job in the ALP for services rendered being parked in unions and members expense = the workers clean toilets and clean up vomit while some lazy little bastard upstart who has never worked in a real job (and does not intend to)sips lattes and sponges off members money. Oh yeah bring it on, I bet Tony is already sitting on a truckload of information thanks to KJ.

  116. Abbott will not be leading the Liberal Party to the next election it will be Malcolm Turnbull. He is incapable of handling himself under pressure as shown by the Leigh Sales interview. The only modus operandus he has is slogans and aggression. Not the sort of qualities one needs to run a country. He is history and I can’t wait for his downfall. He is a danger to the democracy of this great and well managed country. The Abbott proof fence is beginning to work! Even a guide dog can see through Abbott’s thin veneer. Go Julia!

  117. Spot on Anonymous, given what I have seen it goes right back past “The Bottom of the Harbour Scheme”
I had two uncles who worked on the docks, they collected their pays at one end of a trestle table and gave 10 quid to the union rep at the other end, nothing recorded. No pay, no work next week for your gang. The AEU was good at getting the tradesmen out on strike and then without obtaining what was promised it was a lone meeting with the firm and surprise, surprise, “no more bikkies in the barrel boys” that phrase alone should identify the culprit to the union bosses.
