INGRATE: Harold from Neighbours prefers theatre

The Sun in London reports that Harold of Neighbours, also known as Ian Smith, is a complete ingrate and culture snob. He told the UK’s most popular newspaper that he “hates” soap operas of the kind he’s been in for decades. Harold said: “I’m not what you’d call a soap fan — I did it for the money. I enjoyed it, but a soap is not something I would watch.” Charming. But it doesn’t end there. Despite pulling in hundreds of thousands a year on a gig most actors (who are mostly broke) would kill for, the fans of the show upset him too, he told the Sun that “yobs” would torment him endlessly, with hoons apparently revving their cars outside his home and yelling out “Harold, you fat c***”.
