FACEBOOKED: Kennett faction caught undermining Ted Baillieu’s leadership
High level activists within the Baillieu-Kennett Liberal faction in Victoria have established a “Bring Back Jeff Kennett” facebook page that undermines the leadership of their fellow faction member - and Kennett friend - Opposition Leader Ted Baillieu.
VEXNEWS has learned that its members include prominent Kennett/Baillieu faction operatives Brett Billett, a former Young Liberals president and notable faction numbers-man in the Kooyong area, Luke Martin, a former Liberal parliamentary candidate, Felicity Giles who runs Senator Scott Ryan’s office and other active Liberals including Michael Josem, council candidate Ross Grove and Sheridan Heffernan.
In total the group boasts a membership of four hundred and fifty one, dwarfing the size of pro-Costello groups that have been used as a basis for Kennett faction members attacking their rivals in the Costello camp in Victoria.
The description of the Facebook group declares little confidence in Ted Baillieu’s leadership:
We are sick of the state liberal government leaders not having any balls and standing up for Victoria. The only one who has done it is Jeff so lets rally to get him back!
It says the “office” of the facebook group is “Parliament House hopefully soon.”

While I’m delighted to be described as an “active” Liberal in Victoria, given that I don’t even live in Victoria, this seems a little far-fetched.
