NSW Premier Nathan Rees has been embroiled in a factional fracas over the exclusion of ALP moderates from a Young Labor drinks gathering by its stalinist leaning Left faction. Some say this group is so small and moribund it should be known as a fraction.
Supposedly non-factional, former Leftist, Nathan Rees was the guest of honour at the shin-dig at Parliament House in Macquarie Street where the ghost of Sir Robert Askin may be heard as you pass by the urinal, that had been organised by Peter Primrose’s usually indolent staffers. Primrose is the President of the Legislative Council, a high office once held with distinction by uber-patriot Johnno Johnson.
A number of Young Labor moderates were keen to hear from their Premier about the state of the state government and attended the function in a spirit of unity.
A vicious shrew with aspirations to be a tomboy, Lucy Saunders who – photographic evidence suggests – appears to have transcended the patriarchal make-up wearing and grooming paradigm ranted at the moderates demanding they leave. Saunders is a Junior Vice President of NSW Young Labor and appears committed to shrinking that group and her own fraction by misconducting herself in the most extreme way possible.
Her loud and profane verbal abuse coupled with a saliva generated shower acid rain shower was sufficient to encourage the pragmatists that it might be best to depart.
The supposedly factionally neutral Nathan Rees witnessed this disgraceful incident and failed to take action to stop it but had clearly inquired what was going on.
It led one well-placed observer to note “that without the backing of Center Unity there wouldn’t be a “former” lefty Premier to have a drinks night with.”
A good point.
Give that girl a bath!
She can walk to her abode, not even’I’ would go there!!
I would rather give Dr Dean a lift home.
I’d go there
But I always practice ’safe sex’ i.e. a paper bag over her head.
Seriously, scared off by adorable Lucy?
These kids need to eat some concrete and let it settle where their balls should be.
I told you the NSW left did stuff. Why can’t we?
What is wrong with the NSW left?
O, sorry, wrong Party.
I want MDB
The funniest thing about this article is calling Young Centre Unity ‘moderates’.
That suggests that they have ANY politics to speak of at all!
So I suppose you were there then, landeryou? Oh wait, no, you weren’t! So erm, I guess that begs the question: What would you know?
You’d print anything. You suck. ‘News Has A Future’? More like ‘News Has A Fail’.
