BABES OF LIBERAL: Tim’s Angels show a new dawn is about to break for Australian conservative politics

timsangels Prominent NSW Liberal student activist, the charismatic and powerful Tim Andrews, now learning the tricks of the political trade in Washington DC, has found hope in this unpleasant era of Big Government in the sparkling eyes of some of his female colleagues in conservative politics.

After enjoying himself immensely – perhaps even intensely – at the B Bar in Kingston in the nation’s capital last week, the once feared Liberal numbers-man and ideological warrior is now back in DC and firing on all cylinders.

On his popular blog “Inside The Mind of Tim“, he has argued the right in Australian politics will rise phoenix-like from the ashes because of the magnetism of young Liberal women.

He quotes no less a source than PJ O’Rourke in support of his carefully considered argument which we repeat here for your amusement/endorsement:

by Tim Andrews

It is only natural for those of us on the conservative/libertarian side of the political fence to feel a bit glum at the moment. Big government everywhere seems on the rise. Here in Australia the fiscal vandalism of the Rudd Government is unparalleled in our history. Things seem bleak indeed.

However – there is reason for hope! For optimism! Definite proof that here in Australia we shall triumph!

How do I know this? Easy – the Babe Theory Of Politics. To put it simply – we have all the hot girls.

The Babe Theory of Politics was first articulated by PJ O’Rourke in Parliament of Whores:

“Best of all, there were hardly any beautiful women at the [Housing Now!] rally. I saw a journalist friend of mine in the Mall, and he and I pursued this line of inquiry as assiduously as our happy private lives allow. Practically every female at the march was a bowser. “We’re not being sexist here,” my friend insisted. “It’s not that looks matter per se. It’s just that beautiful women are always on the cutting edge of social trends. Remember how many beautiful women were in the anti-war movement twenty years ago? In the yoga classes fifteen years ago? At the discos ten years ago? On Wall Street five years ago? Where the beautiful women are is where the country is headed,” said my friend. “And this,” he looked around him, “isn’t it.”

Essentially, what this theory states is that“Where and when there are hot babes, an exponential number of men will show up. If 100 cute girls with voluptuous bodies are protesting for freedom, you can count on a thousand men being there as well. If sexy babes are involved in a peaceful political movement, it has a far greater chance of succeeding. If there are no good-looking women involved, the odds of a successful (and peaceful) movement fall dramatically.”

Well – judge for yourself – I present to you, the conservative and libertarian girls of Australia!

Liberal membership inquiries should first be directed to Tim Andrews for ideological assessment. He can be contacted on timintheus@gmail.com

  7. Well if politics doesn’t work out for you – there’s always the job as Editor of the Daily Telegraph Tim. Your selection of cheescake shots were first rate and would make you an absolute shoe-in if you went for the job!!!

Plus with the sophomore Rudd jibes you’d be like part of the furniture at the Tele’ [sorry Penbo]

PS But your premise IS exactly spot on and saw me thus employed with a certain aid-agency for a good three years [and I NEVER wish to see another sandal or cable knit jumper in my life !! ]

  11. Even if you did a calander, will the funds raised goto Turnbull for PM or Costello for PM? That is the key question.

My bet is Turnbull will be back on the backbench by the next election anyway, so I’d hold off on a calender until then.

  14. Thanks enjoyed that link. I’ve downloaded the photo of Jessica to use as my desktop –when my wife isn’t looking ;-)

Seeing as the hotness of female political party officials has been brought up I noticed when watching telivision parliament coverage that the female ministers assembled behind krudd in the lower house vision are more pleasing on the eye than those assembled behind what his/her name in the upper house vision. This begs a question.

Did the ALP select candidates for safe lower house seats based on their looks?

is the best way to recruit. Or they’re not, perhaps.

  17. Let me comment on the “quality” of the quite liberal (in appearance) girls

Lauren McKenzie – Looks like she’s 12 – Didnt know you were into kiddy porn Tim…

Abigail Shead – Is this a photo from the Daily Telegraphs “Inside Brothels” piece from today. She looks like a slapper of great proportions. She looks like she’s had more d*cks than bdays.

Eleni Petinos – Where did you recruit her from? The Brazilian Showgirls float from the 2009 Sydney Mardi Gras?

Laney McLaren – Since when did a Ranga make the top 10 in anything? Again, another case of cradle snatching…she looks like she’s just graduated from primary school.

Sonia Lipski – I think this photo speaks for itself. “I can’t make it in modelling so I’ll go into Ms Australia – lose and now my life has come to dancing on poles”

Elisabeth Davies – Black and White photo – always means they are compensating for something. Nice smile, but the fringe? WTF. Volunteer for the Cancer Council and get rid of it please.

Sasha Uher – Wow, Give me the pearls and the lion any night of the week over her. Her snarl is worse than any lion I’ve seen.

Gemma Brooks – Another slapper to add to your collection tim. In fact Im amazed the half decently dressed ones here agreed to have their photos beside such trash.

Jaimi Primrose – In the okay basket. But with this list Im definitely heading to the “5 items or less” counter to be served.

Jessica Adelan – She seems to be enjoying this lap dance. Does she work with Abigail?

Catriona Rafael – Hahahaha Hot list. She looks like death warmed up! Dracula’s wife.

Lucy Haywood – At least someone on this list has some class. That makes 2 I approve of.

Sabine Wolff – Some decency please. Think of the whales…they didnt mean to beach themselves. You’ve actually made the decision to wear something that makes you look like Amanda Vanstone.

Michelle Crips & Sophie Holman – Geez, the one on the right looks down-syndrome, and she wouldnt even make Ralph’s disabled top 200. The one on the left looks like Elaine from Sienfield, so she can stay.

Lauren Jennifer Callahan – “Social Officer” for what? The Gothic Club? Seriously, clean yourself up and wear something to cover the cuts on your wrist.

Jasmine Curcio – No perspective in the shot, so hard to rank. Lucky.

Whittney Jago – Dress sense okay. But great choice of photo, conveniently cover your face. You can’t hide forever. But for now, you survive.

I seriously hope version two provides for what I thought the Libs may have to offer…elegant, smart, sophisticated….who was I kidding…

  34. Young Liberal’s racy recruitment bid ‘disappointing’
Posted 1 hour 39 minutes ago
    Updated 41 minutes ago

    Slideshow: Photo 1 of 3

Image of a young woman from Young Liberal Tim Andrews’ blog. It was used in an effort to get more men to join the party. May 21 2009 (website)
The former Federal Sex Discrimination Commissioner Pru Goward says she is disappointed that photos of scantily clad Young Liberal women have been posted on a website in a bid to encourage more men to join the organisation.

A former head of Liberal Students’ Federation Tim Andrews has posted the photos on his blog.

The site shows pictures of several women who belong to Liberal Clubs at universities across the country.

Some are wearing bikinis, one is in suspenders and another is lying on a bed.

On the site Tim Andrews outlines the ‘Babe Theory of Politics’, which he says essentially means where there are hot babes, an exponential number of men will show up.

Ms Goward, now a New South Wales MP, says it is the wrong way to go about recruiting people to the Liberal Party.

“I’m disappointed that he’s misjudged the importance of a political party like ours that for so long has defended the dignity of men and women,” she said.

“We do need to recruit young people…and I commend Tim for having a go, but I think that we have to remember that people join political parties because of the facts, not the figures.”

The site has now been password protected.

  35. Well done on ensuring, Tim, that you can now never be taken as a serious possability for *any* public Liberal position in the future.
I for one, congratulate you on the immense bravery oit must have taken in placing this on the internet (which as we know will now be here for ever in some form) to haunt you in all your future public endeavours… it *is* a bold move.
I know you *think* its witty – but 15 years from now – if you happen to be up for preselection – this will be waiting for you with open arms. how will you defend it then – or do you think you wont need to?

  42. Tim’s right in that something has to be done to get more people into the Liberal party to change it from a very shallow pool with very little talent. It’s got to such a bad state that it’s led by a man with no political experience other than being the former minister for light bulbs. At the young end it has folks like Tim with the bizzare rich redneck mentality that the USA would associate more closely with Southern “White Trash” than anyone that has even been near a University.

Probably not the best quote i could have put together, but see below.

Liberals are, by their very nature, generally ‘conservative…’ I am drawn to people of the political left because, I would argue, many of them do hold true passion and conviction, and are willing to fight for their beliefs, and not swallow what they are told.

I believe there are quite a few posers who would have been honoured to serve in this capacity, in the interests of the Party.

This has been a splendid story in so many ways, so breathtakingly silly and petty that it seems like a perfect way to conclude the week, with the Prime Minister of Australia – no less – asked about it.

Sorry Tim, but you became a public figure long ago by sending out material stating that any young Lib at a VSU event that spoke to the press would be expelled from the party – and all the other bits you wrote that the press took interest in.

By stirring up Pru Goward etc now you’ve become a public figure again whether you like it or not.
