CFMEU Construction boss Bill Oliver has threatened to organise a preselection against all state and federal ministers who refuse to submit to his authority.
The angry threats – reminiscent of Achmed the Dead Terrorist of Youtube fame – were issued in an epic dummy spit by the union bully boy after federal Ministers denied his demand for a meeting.
“He couldn’t even get the basics right, like arranging appointments before spending his union members’ money on flying business class to Canberra,” one cyncial Party observer remarked familiar with this week’s merriment in the nation’s capital.
Some thought NUW secretary Anthony Thow and SDA patriot chieftain Michael Donovan walking along the corridors of power with the head of Australia’s most notoriously corrupt and thuggish trade union, Bill Oliver to be a highly amusing sight to behold.
The only one missing was Steve Dargavel who had been ordered home on the grounds that he threatened to make the alliance partner’s pitch offensive just plain offensive. The AMWU ceremonial state leader was also believed to furious at the snub and even questioned his new fractional colleagues’ judgment according to one union insider.
Thow and Donovan are regarded as smart operators, declined to make threats and generally attempted to be dignified ambassadors of their own interest.
Oliver doesn’t do business that way.
WHAT BULLY BOY BILL OLIVER DEMANDS
His demands are believed to include the removal of the CFMEU’s former ally Brian Tee, a member of the Legislative Council, who has decided to stay loyal to his Socialist Left faction. Tee is believed to have expressed puzzlement at the alliance between his supposedly militant former patrons and their alliance with the socially conservative patriots of the SDA.
Oliver also demands three seats in parliament to accommodate the ambitions of some and the union redundancies of some in the “in the red faction.” If only there were more seats in Parliament, no unemployed union official would be left in poverty by 1990. Or something like that.
The CFMEU boss has boasted the SDA and NUW are now obliged to support his demands, regardless of any common-sense reservations they might have. The union leaders are believed to have hammered out a controversial deal that include gaining taxpayer funded privileges from Victorian government ministers aligned to those unions.
THE BEAST OF BURDEN
The diplomatic and suave Senator Feeney, who attempted to show the wild Bill Oliver beast around Canberra without the freak-show exhibit biting anyone in the audience, is believed to be horrified and embarrassed by Bill Oliver’s fatwah of political death threat against Ministers of the Crown.
Feeney and Donovan’s approach compares favourably with that of the savage Bill Oliver, Labor insiders tell VEXNEWS. While both had previously put the issue of Cabinet minister Senator Steve Conroy’s preselection on the table for discussion, it was clear they didn’t really mean it. Like Achmed the Dead Terrorist, Iranian President Ahmadinejad and other lunatics, as everyone in the construction caper knows, a threat issued by the CFMEU boss Bill Oliver is a promise he means to deliver. Whether he has the capacity is something we’re about to find out.
One cruel observer remarked to VEXNEWS:
It’s hard to imagine the two biggest moderate unions now being led by the nose by a corrupt Maoist thug. Those in bed with Bill Oliver are too scared to move in case they lift their doona of love and cause themselves to choke one some of Oliver’s foul odours…
We live in interesting times.
This evening’s meeting of what the media always refer to as the all-powerful Administrative Committee meeting promises to be a festive occasion with the planned preselection schedule being considered in a climate of threats from the nation’s most odious union.
Other matters for discussion will be a possible referral of the Keilor preselection to National Executive, as exclusively revealed by VEXNEWS on the weekend and other issues of mass distraction including the approval of new ALP members intended to become the Health Services #1 branch delegates to ALP conference.
I can’t tell the difference between the two effers.
Steve ‘master of the internet’ Conroy has to go. He is the biggest threat to freedom Australia has ever seen. The corruption he and his mates have been engaged in will be exposed by Ted’s corruption commission and they will go to jail. They will not pass go and they will not pick up their community chest of super.
so long georgie, may kirsten psalia be with you
The boys are just flexing their industrial muscles. I do not htiunkj they will make good MP’s as bad as Crawford and co. If they are not Ministerial material then the party should say no to a safe seat. Let them do the hard work and win a marginal
Just what the ALP needs more unionists in caucus!
You should the she-male’s ‘industrial muscle’.
I’ve seen the Achmed video many times before and reckon it is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen on YouTube.
Definately worth watching if you haven’t seen it.
Business class flight to Cantberra? What an arrogant, snout in the trough tool he is.
He spent workers money on a premium seat for around 1 hour. How does he get away with it when many big businesses don’t permit Business class for trips less than 4 or 5 hours?
Why does the ALP and the union members put up with it?
***why does the ALP and the union members put up with it?***
ALP, because they work the same rort. Union members, because 90% of them are thick as bricks. If you think that’s harsh or judgemental take a drive through Cessnock NSW. A rock-solid Labor area with the worst roads, the worst schools, the worst policing and the worst hospital. You know it’s an ALP seat because of the floral tributes to their highway dead, up and down the lousy roads.
I don’t blame the ALP though. Struggle street Labor voters are like a certain type of abused wife – no matter how bad it gets, they’ll never bail.
Catman. Rorts. Lies.
Just another reason why Labor has gone next election….
ALP is corrupt organisation.
I like “Greek” boxing. It is a great sport.
How can the liberal party run a strategy about sleazy deals in victoria when it has richard dalla riva on its front bench. this is the kettle calling the pot black. the party has no credibility when it tries to take teh moral high ground so long as richard dalla riva remains.
i resigned from the ALP because of this kind of crap…..you need to wake up to reality its not 1965 anymore you fools
If the Vic Libs are serious about wanting to win back Government in 2010 then RDR must not be a part of the parliamentary Liberal Party.
So come on Eastern Metro delegates, you got rid of Ollie in 2005, time to get rid of RDR in 2009.
I’ve been a naughty boy again. Mal has given me one more chance. If I stuff up again it is back to working for Chrissy Pyne.
I’m not a rorter, but I am a roster.
I am a rooster too!
suave: smoothly agreeable and courteous with a degree of sophistication.
feeney: fat, chain smoking, badly dressed, rude and stupid.
How did a puppet get a job with a powerful union? Oh…stupid question…sorry.
Union chief attacks ‘tainted’ Brumby GovernmentDavid Rood
June 1, 2009
PREMIER John Brumby has come under fire from a senior Labor Party figure for running a tainted government, as the fallout from the Brimbank scandal widens.
Labor Right powerbroker and union leader Jeff Jackson said people did not believe the Brumby Government was a “clean-run organisation”.
“The average punter in Victoria is starting to be concerned and worried about John Brumby’s ability to steer an above-board government,” Mr Jackson said.
His attack comes after his enemies in Mr Brumby’s Right faction succeeded in ending the career of Jackson ally and veteran Labor MP George Seitz, who was implicated in the Brimbank scandal.
Labor’s administration committee has shifted the preselection of several Labor seats in the Brimbank area, including Mr Seitz’s, from the hands of local party members to the ALP’s national executive.
The move was engineered by an alliance between a grouping from Labor’s Right and the Socialist Left, which has wrested control from rival forces aligned with Mr Jackson’s Health Services Union.
Mr Jackson, a member of the administration committee, said changing preselection was done to neutralise Mr Seitz because of his popularity in his electorate of Keilor.
Mr Jackson is involved in a power struggle for control of his union, with claims he used a union credit card to pay for escort services and misappropriated funds. He denies the claims.
Asked yesterday if the Brimbank scandal was damaging the Government, Mr Brumby said the Ombudsman had unfettered powers and the Government had acted quickly on the Ombudsman’s report.
“I don’t think the public can expect more than that … he (the Ombudsman) made some very strong recommendations and we acted on them decisively to implement every single recommendation,” he said.
The report found that Mr Seitz, former minister Theo Theophanous and Hakki Suleyman, an electorate officer to Planning Minister Justin Madden, had inappropriately interfered in Brimbank affairs.
Mr Brumby also supported the party’s preselection changes in the Brimbank area.
“Any decisions made in relation to that involving the national executive would be a positive decision for the party,” he said.
Among several electorates to have their preselection changed are the state seat of Niddrie, held by Deputy Premier Rob Hulls, and the federal seat of Maribyrnong, held by MP and Labor Right powerbroker Bill Shorten.
All federal and state MPs affected by the change, with the exception of Mr Seitz, are expected to retain their seats.
The actions of Labor players involved in the Brimbank affair, including several MPs, face further investigation after Seitz supporters succeeded in a push for an internal party inquiry, subject to legal advice.
Notable ethicist Jeff Jackson ending his interview with David Rood there.
One of these days Jeff….one of these days…..pow! Right in the kisser.
Can I say I admire Jeff’s commitment to probity. It’s at least as strong as my commitment to the AWU.
Maybe even stronger.
And he has shown great judgment hiring that sound, temperate young intellectual Conrad ‘Heart of Darkness’ French. Fine chap. Great work ethic and attention to detail- and so subtle that you don’t even notice him working.
Even if what Jeff says is true, why would you say it publicly?!? It only assists the Liberals winning the next election. That is exactly how the left USED to behave, until even they grew up. He isn’t proving to be the sharpest tool in the box.
Getting Nat Exec involved in western suburbs selections: excellent.
Not being able to extend that to preston: unfortunate.
Being lectured by Jeff Jackson on being ‘clean’: priceless.
For everything else, there’s HSU MasterCard.
ho hum
Well done Jacko.
And to anon 1 June 15:08, what makes you think that anyone gives a shit about Brumby losing the next election?
“There’s something wrong in Victoria”
A cracking political ad indeed!
You play with fire you get burnt, you needle dicked minions.
The Brumby Govt. smells corrupt, looks corrupt, is corrupt.
Tastes corrupt.
ALP. Bent as a hairpin.
Dyslexic cnut fgean! You forgot functionally illiterate with an acute anxiety disorder, not to mention personality disorder (a polite term for sociopath).
Aside from Fgean the illiterate, thuggish, corrupt former HSU Official, and obsessive stalker, the following have also being inducted as ALP members.
Dan Siriman, recently sacked from Box Hill Hospital for repeated sexual harassment and upskirting.
Michael May, enthusiastic snowdropper.
Doug Byron, serial sexual harasser.
Byron’s wife, serial dumb exploited housewife.

An impressive list of citizens!
An indictment on their political masters.
