It’s pretty hard to be sacked as a JP. Not even the egregious Rowena Allsop, JP, Bail Justice, could get sacked as JP — and she was conducting bail hearings for Alfonse Gangitano and dating him at the same time. Why shouldn’t Hakki continue? I’m interested to know, being a JP myself.

Brouwer should resign. He has shown himself to be exactly what many in the legal fraternity have always suspected. At best a poor legal mind with questionable motivations, at worst a completely corrupted and partisan political hitman with an agenda that has no association to the pursuit of justice. His behaviour, unlike that of Hakki Suleyman, is inappropriate and unbecoming of the office that he holds. If a first year law student had have come up with the drivel spewed up and into that report they would be punted from here to Nantucket.
