EXCLUSIVE: Tas Greens Leader has knocked up one of his MP’s

cassyoconnor Tasmania’s Greens party leader Nick McKim and his lover junior Greens MP Cassy O’Connor are believed to be expecting a child.

Sources within Tasmanian politics have told VEXNEWS that “the word” is O’Connor is at least three months pregnant and it was only that fact that prompted them to reveal their secret and politically dangerous liaison.

If these rumours are correct, it will be O’Connor’s fifth child to three baby-daddies, an effort of which Jerry Springer would be proud.

The two – who left long-time relationships and marriages behind to explore their eco-love – announced the relationship this week and enjoyed the blessing of superannuation millionaire Senator Bob Brown who declared that he’d invited the two over for morning tea to celebrate “quite a long while ago”.

That probably suggests Brown knew about before Cassy O’Connor’s husband who was only told quite recently, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Brown was keen to point to Reverend Fred Nile and his wife Elaine who had served in the NSW LegCo at the same time in wedded bliss as a point of comparison. We’re not sure the Niles would agree.
