Costa had to go.

So did a few other Ministers, but maybe he shoudl gone after Tripodi and Obeid.

Iemma was knifed by by Eddie Obeid and Joe Tripodi. he was actually trying to do what was necessary to keep labor in power in NSW. But they were prepared to scarifice their faction and their party (the ineterests of the people of NSW didn’t even enter into their thoughts) to maintain their power over the ‘honeypot’.

Iemma has saved these two cretins in the past when they should have been hung out to dry. I guess it’s one of those bad judgements that come back to haunt you.

How great it is that we now have a new Premier. Iemma should never have thought he could turn his back on the Party. Or the unions. Rees is a union-friendly, smart politician. He will surprise a lot of people and the big loser will be Barry O’Farrell!

Iemma has shown himself to be a class act. He could have attacked everyone but instead he has supported party unity and the new Premier.

The NSW ALP head office will regret this act of utter treachery. They believe in nothing except their own desire to maintain control.

Pity. Iemma stood for the right things and always seemed to me to be a good man.

I don’t see dumping Iemma as having the party though.
