A generation ago, if ever a man, any man for that matter, verbally abused or used swear words aimed at a woman ( or even within earshot of a woman) a lot of Aussie men would feel so outraged as to physically remove or even belt a bloke for having such audacity.

I doubt KR would have done that, Arther. I can’t see the upside to it, as it looks like disunity behind the scenes – which it probably is.

I just can’t see what strategic value there would be in doing that, when the opposition is almost making the running for Labor look easy.

the point missed by so many…

krudd is the Leader/the others work with/under him/take direction from him..

he broke work place laws by harassing/intimidating and denigrating fellow workers….with inappropriate work language

when you are in a position of POWER..priest/teacher/employer..carefull

the days of power abusing are over..

when i was a young worker i experienced repeated abuse and foul language…and in the office everyone thought it funny…i was deeply offended ..but couldn’t escape the belittling as i needed the job…it was hell

krudd broke his own work place laws..

not to mention again the fantastic example of the supreme hypocrisy of a man the before the last election promised a new approach to openess-honesty-and fairness..churchie type guy

I see that you bet the Murdoch Press to the gun!This story will probably help cement the friendly relationship with the younger male proprietor of all that is Murdoch.Seeing he whined a little bit in Dear Old England recently.So some mutual antagonism too produce a bit of colour,via, your early effort,maximises these beings and what they do in our minds!?Rupert never solved a problem for Government or the common herd.And we all cry crocodile tears for the Murdochs and P.M.s that befriend them.Why didn’t Murdoch himself step in and give some paper roll to the Government,and say he can buy a few hectares of onions to turn into onion juice so that secret stuff can be read by the electorate under certain conditions!?Or!Why read between the lines,about this story which is like looking at at a Mental Clinic’s wall for meaning whilst the clock on the wall and its arms seem to be in contest with the patient’s ability to notice time passing on!? Which happened to me, and a number of other patients at Malvern Clinic whilst it was operating near the Town Hall.And wasn’t investigated by any authority,but a electronic engineer who couldn’t find any bugs etc. in the roof or anywhere.So what is the reason this item of Rudd swearing has eaten up so much newsprint!?Bill the Murdoch Press for services rendered!

Of course the real motivation behind this allowance cutting decision is to weaken the ability of opposition MP’s to liaise with their constituents.

Labor MP’s on the other hand, with their party in power and in control of the Treasury, will have assistance provided to them indirectly.

To use foul language when addressing staff or any person, especially when you are the Prime Minister of a country, shows a distinct lack of character.

Surely the Australian public expect their most prominent statesman and leader to behave with dignity at ALL times!!!

I worked in many jobs and had some very important people as my senior – none of them ever swore at me or at anyone else.

Rudd should be ashamed of his lack of control.

Today I did the usual and went to say a prayer

Really, after all this time, you’d think that they’d know better,

Why should I apologise to anyone for my words so foul?
I am the Prime Minister, so I ignore them when they howl.
I can say whatever I want and if the air turns blue,
Then too bad – that’s the Labor way – and I’m Labor through and through.

Its funny that they expect me to be on my best behaviour
Who do they think they are? …”I” am the country’s saviour!!!!
It’s not as if I am as f-ing low as that Belinda f-ing Neal,
Whom I made go to “anger management” – after her rant at the Iguana’s meal.

So I chuck some f-ing tantrums on the plane if my snack isn’t right
Or if my f-ing hairdryer can’t be found after some Afghanistan flight
I scream at people who I believe are much f-ing lowlier than I,

For what purpose was someone recording this? I believe it is an offence in some states under various Surveillance Devices Acts + you are supposed to let other parties know if you are recording. All this proves is Rudd is human and I think this will improve his standing, not diminish it. It is the minders who want this ‘Mr Perfect/Mr Stable’ image and it could not ever be sustained. The ALP has become a party of boring clones (make and female) all the colour has been squeezed out of it.

This articel doesn’t so much go the the fact that Rudd is trying to reduce the printing allowance, its more his style of leadership and the kind of man he is.

Do you really want a dictatorial style Prime Minister, who can at the flick of a wrist cut an allowance? It is REEALLY okay to swear at other ELECTED representatives, especially when they are in your own party. The status of Senator and a MHR should be preserved, not trashed by of all people, the P.M

This little outbust shows the facade is cracking, and the uglt, vain person behind it is only starting to emerge.
