Yeah – the reason why the Liberal Party gets less than 25% of the primary vote in Kororoit is because the reforms have not gone through.

The Brumby Government is as good as dead once the reforms go through.

Vintage Davis! Droning, authoritive sounding platitudes are his speciality especially when he hasn’t yet worked out if he is under threat and then who he can plot against.
Red Ted has always done the back stage tango with the likes of Aldred. His popularity with party members is built on years of appeasing the likes of aldred and his devotees. Ted has never done the hard yards in party administration, at least with anything that would have made him unpopular.
The reforms mean that constituional branches in Kororoit and similar locales might actually take their activities in their local communities seriously (and be taken seriously in their turn) as something other than numbers for preselections in other seats and for manning boothes on election day where their blue rinse confreres refuse to tread.

Answer – they wont!

If there was a constitutional branch in Kororoit under the current rules, at least its state council delegates would have the chance to be randomly selected for preselections for blue ribbon Liberal seats.

If the changes get up they will have no chance at all to participate in meaningful preselections.

Love the desperation of the certain supporters of the proposed trashing of Party’s Constitution.

Their deeply flawed logic runs as follows:
Ken Aldred and his supporters oppose the changes. Therefore anyone that opposes the changes must be a Ken Aldred supporter.
