Result for Victorian state seat of Ripon preselection for the Liberal Party:-

Understand voting went something like:-

  1. Louise must be sulking today.

  2. Louise left via a side entrance, no congratulatory kiss for Vic, no thanks to her 26 supporters. Very bad form.

  3. Hmmmm one of the scrutineers must be an informant.

I dont think it was Barry Traynor (vic), would have been John van Beverens or Louise Stayley’s. Who were the scrutineers?

  5. Hey Darkhorse, that is a dumb conclusion and shows complete political naivity. It could have been the candidates themselves who would have found the numbers out from the scrutineers who are the informant. Or more likely it could have been any number of people who the scrutineers informed who then informed vexnews directly or through someone else. Scrutineers and candidates (especially winning candidates)don’t usually keep the numbers to themselves but that doesn’t mean they are the people who informed this web blog of the numbers.

  6. …in actual fact the only people who are unlikely to have leaked the numbers are the losing candidates scrutineers, supporters or candidates for obvious reasons.

  8. The reality is Louise would have been the best candidate, the only problem is her personality disorder. Louise is one of those people who can very easily get people off side – which is evident from her lack of votes. She certainly performed well on the night, much better than Vic. But Vic is very good at butering up the old trouts from the Liberal Party – and they have untimately repaid him. Perhaps Louise would be better suited to the Upper House where she would not need to mingle with the human race?
