KEYSTONE: AFP officers hit and run Israeli woman while probing passport puzzle

bicyclecrash The strange Australian Federal Police investigation of alleged identity theft by those responsible for bringing Hamas arms-dealer and terrorist Mahmoud al-Mabhouh has descended into farce with The Australian’s revelations that officers crashed into a bicyclist in Tel Aviv and – in violation of Israeli law – failed to stop at the scene of the accident.

The Australian Embassy in Israel, often occupied by Arabists from DFAT in search of reasons to pick a fight with the democratically elected government there, seems mortified by the embarrassing turn of events telling The Australian’s patriot scribe John Lyons:

“It is a very serious issue. We are currently investigating it. We have not been contacted by anyone who has been knocked off her bike. I can confirm that that (the car which left the building) is an embassy car. I don’t think at this point that I can comment on who was and was not in the car.”

With people smugglers running rampant across South-East Asia looking to cash in on perceived Australian weakness, dangerous drugs of addiction still commonly available in nightclubs, the mean streets of our poorest suburbs and even in some schools, you’d think the AFP would struggle to find the resources for escapades like this that are essentially little more than an anti-Israel PR offensive.

There is no evidence suggesting Israel’s involvement in the operation against the dead terrorist other than motive, a motive most decent people can entirely understand and respect. A motive that could well be shared by the terrorist’s paranoid terrorist comrades, always looking out for the next traitor.

The only source of the claims against Israel’s security services is the law enforcement apparatus of the one-man Dubai dictatorship. Dubai makes a lot of money assisting Iran pursue its plans to dominate the region. Dubai is part of the UAE, which has shifted away from its traditional political alignments in recent times to form a close partnership with terror-exporters in the form of Iran and Syria.

Dubai authorities have every reason to make up tall tales about Israel, given they are sworn to the destruction of the Jewish state and that most of the Arab military dictatorships of the region bolster their internal political support by posturing against Israel. Having an enemy is a good way of keeping the proles united, as Orwell explored in various of his works exploring totalitarianism.

It’s well worth reading Lyons’ excellent report on Australia’s keystone cops and Jewgle Perth’s take on the insulting nature of the whole schmozzle.

Hopefully, the red-faced AFP officers will be sent home before they commit any more crimes.

  1. wow, I’m surprised that you willingly fill your articles and arguments with such distracting emotive language… to the point where your arguments are a farce. I sure hope you don’t think of yourself a journalist cos you’re more of a “nasty rantist”

“occupied by Arabists from DFAT in search of reasons to pick a fight with the democratically elected government there” – WTF

You turn a reasonable and valid discussion into a punching match. Hopefully I’m the only one reading your drivel.

  2. 3 cheers for the driver!

  3. If an Israeli diplomat ran over a cyclist in Yarralumla ACT, and then drove off, I can only imagine the outcry which would follow.

The Israelis will of course be quite grown up about the matter.

  4. AFP Hit squad fails in attempt to take out Israeli citizen!

And Rudd is supposed to be the diplomats diplomat!

  5. Wait, the guy who wrote this article doesn’t think Israel was behind the assassination? Wow..somebody is a little naive.

  6. No, Chris, he thinks they are and that they shold be given a leave pass and/or medals for it. They’re special you see! The laws of reasonable conduct shouldn’t apply because two wrongs DO make a right!

  7. So while the AFP are running an incompetent, politically-ordered hatchet job on Dr Haneef, you’re behind them, cause, let’s face it, Haneef is a stinking moozy…
Now that we have a Labor government, a legitimate AFP investigation into passport forgery, POSSIBLY by Israeli intelligence (that’s what an investigation does, it goes and investigates), it’s a conspiracy.
    Pathetic.

  8. Neither Chris nor Toby Hall, above, have provided any actual evidence to implicate Israel.

Thus far, the only “evidence” put forward are statements from a highly unreliable source, namely an anti-Semite running the police force of a corrupt Arab dictatorship.

    See: http://blog.camera.org/archives/2010/03/media_whitewashes_dubai_police.html

    That’s it.

Admittedly, Israel isn’t helping by refusing to acknowledge or deny their involvement, however their reason for this policy is a good one. Right now, other Hamas arms dealers are shitting themselves, as they should be.

The fact is however, the world media has jumped on the bandwagon and convicted Israel because it suits them. Not because there is any hard evidence.

Not that there ever was a need for real evidence in order to vilify the Jewish state.

In any case, I don’t care *who* killed that scumbag, I would be happy to buy them a beer.

  9. what’s worse – murder or knocking some one off a bicycle?

  10. 10 demerit points – for NOT finishing the job on the Israel Cyclist.

  11. We can feel you are not neutral in your article as any GOOD journalist would be (which you are not good by the way). Second, what we want to know is not that Australian crashed into a bike. What you are trying to say in this article is that the australian authority is bad, Dubai is bad but Isreal poor them they are the victims. This technic has been used for too many years by people like you who shoudnt write an article like this as we can feel they have either some family in Isreal or are jews. You should be neutral and relate facts that people want. The real story is that isreal has been using forged passports from different countries to murder somebody! The australian authority is there to know what happen and all what we want to know is what they have done so far! The journalist that has wrote this article should be either sacked or moved to another departement but certainly not write anything related to dubai’s killing! This is a disgrace!

  12. “what’s worse – murder or knocking some one off a bicycle?”

    I’ll answer that.

Given the choice between the death of an Islamist terrorist, versus someone stubbing their toe, my sympathies would go entirely to the person hopping around on one foot.

The girl on the bike had never hurt anyone. The Dubai Deadman is currently rotting in hell. Regardless of who killed him. No virgins for him.

  13. It is time to bring the good ole boys home before the election. They’ve done enough to show Australia’s “even-handedness” where terrorists and those that hunt terrorists are treated as equally culpable in the moral relativism that infects DFAT and the ALP. So a few Aussie passports were possibly used to save many lives of innocent people by removing a global threat. It was an act of war no less patriotic than what our troops are doing in Afghanistan. The only reason I’d be looking for the team that did this brave deed is to give them the Nobel Peace Prize if that award had not been so devalued.

  14. Oh dear ol Dan … mercifully you’re not in any real position of power, but are instead left to vent your hissy fits via letters to the editor and super-naff blog rants. You’re really contributing to the big decisions there mate … keep up the good work! :)

  15. Alan do you still frequent the male public lavatory in Wahroonga? I keen to hook up with you for some dogging.

  16. Swine Lad, you’re an anonymous coward and in no position to question my bravery.

    To the subsequent impostor:

“I keen [sic] to hook up with you for some dogging.”

If you are going to try and impersonate me, you may want to have someone help you with your basic English.

Why is it that antisemitism, stupidity and illiteracy go hand in hand?

Is it the Jews fault that you didn’t graduate from high school?

  18. Very funny guys! We don’t all think like you and we don’t have too.

I agree Dan, between killing killers for example the head of Mossad, Israeli prime minister and all soldiers that kill everyday 100s of palestinians and the bike event… hummm let me think??? I’ll go for the head of Mossad, Israeli prime minister and all soldiers that kill everyday 100s of palestinians :) At least you should be fair and recognize the abuse done by your country.

  19. The Australian Federal Police confirm nor deny involvement in the attempt on the Jewess’ life.

  20. The ever reliable Sliming Morning Herald has unraveled the mystery. While they stop short of actually revealing that this was nothing more than a diabolically cunning Mossad plot the inference is clear. The driver of the Prado was an Israeli, the cyclist was an Israeli, anyone can see that this was just a carefully staged set-up designed to compromise and embarras our brave AFP investigators.

  21. How do you “murder” a terrorist? Isnt that like drowning a fish?

  22. Is the national anthem an ivite to people smugglers to convine people that they will be welcome in Australia.

I shudder everytime it is sung because it is the best advert for inviting people to come.

All the immigrants want is to
come across the seas and share our boundless plains:
With courage let us all combine
    To Advance Australia Fair.

They are following our invitation and help andvance Australia Fair!

There is golden soil & wealth for toil.

    The Anthem
    Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free,
    We’ve golden soil and wealth for toil;
    Our home is girt by sea;
Our land abounds in nature’s gifts
    Of beauty rich and rare,
In history’s page, let every stage
    Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
    Advance Australia Fair.

    Beneath our radiant Southern Cross
    We’ll toil with hearts and hands;
To make this Commonwealth of ours
    Renowned of all the lands;
For those who’ve come across the seas
    We’ve boundless plains to share:
With courage let us all combine
    To Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
    Advance Australia Fair.

  24. Daniel/Dan Lewis – I am still here darling. Seriously though you know that all Israelis are soldiers, potential Mossad agents and passport providers to Mossad too. The cyclist incident was probably just a set up to try to discredit the AFP. Being an atheist I will got say “God is great”.
