ICECAPADES: Greg Barber goes ga-ga over glaciers in Iceland and uses taxpayer funded phone to tell everyone
The Greens party state politician Greg Barber has fled Melbourne for the winter, as you do. But the quirky MP has sought out a place so cold they should probably close it, Iceland. He’s gone to see how local Greens are wrecking the local economy and to run up the most embarrassing global roaming phone bill since Dean Mighell’s last trip to London.
LEFT ON LEFT VIOLENCE: War of words over training day
State MP and Lefty Don Nardella didn’t agree with a Head Office decision to defer a training day for a few weeks while a number of marginal seats MPs had been “nuisance” challenged. The response from his factional brother Kosmos Samaras summed up the strong view about the gratuitous nature of many of the preselection fights.
