THANK GOD: Tim Holding found alive and well

Due to a definite clearing of the weather, Victoria Police are believed to have found Water minister Tim Holding lost off the beaten track but alive and well.

They now intend to winch him to safety from the remote area and have communicated that to him via a note.

He’s standing up waving his reflective space blanket to the helicopters and looks fine. A Seven cameraman using an excellent quality lens has confirmed that it’s definitely Holding.

He’s coming home!

UPDATE: Victoria Police have confirmed that he has been found and have explained that the rescue will take some time.

  4. To all of you who wrote negative crap about him in the past 48 hours – I hope he lives to politically screw you for many years to come.

  6. Great news, good work by all concerned. He is a nice bloke and I feel for his parents they must have gone through hell. Nothing hurts when your child’s life is in danger. My best wishes go to his parents and his partner, and especially all of the people who helped in the search for Tim.

  7. What a complete dickhead for going out in those conditions. Yet another cost blowout for Tim. I wonder if he had an energy bar on him when found. Lets just hope he doesnt sell his story to 60 minutes!!

  11. Will Holding do the right thing and pay for the cost of his rescue or will he screw the taxpayers over again?

  13. look at what tim was wearing. four layers or clothing, heavy waterproof jacket and pants, not to mention a tent, food, etc. looks like he was very, very well prepared for a whole week in the freezing cold. same time shame. he should be made to pay for the rescue.

  14. How can people be so so awful, some of you may not like politicians, if you have worked for them you would know that they do work hard, so I think bushwalking is a great unwind. Tell me if you drive a car like an idiot and get into an accident, would you not expect assistance from an ambulance and a doctor. Get real you morons, you don’t hate people because of their job.

  15. glad he’s not dead, but sad he & his appalling colleagues will continue to screw our beautiful state

  16. As from the opposite end in bi partisan support I am glad that he is safe and sound and recovers well. Disgusting to hear comments on Ballieu and alike criticising him. They should have mutual respect of the members opposite instead of kicking them in the ground as there was grave concerns with the minister possibly could have been deceased.

  17. the word’s dead, nick. not deceased, not passed away, not singing in the celestial choir, but dead. & where did baillieu criticise him? the only comment i have heard from ted is that he hoped tim would return to his family safe & well. & if he does criticise him for going bushwalking alone in snow, it would be perfectly justified. it was a dumb thing to do, indicative of a lack of judgement in a minister of state that ought to be criticised

  18. Tim Holding goes missing for 5 minutes, and the media goes nuts. His shadow, Louise Asher, has been missing for 9 years, and the media hasn’t said a word.

  19. If Andrew Bolt wasn’t on leave he would have demanded that Holding pay for his rescue by now. The other Tory hacks will catch up shortly.

  20. Holding doesn’t look thrilled to see Whinnett in the television footage. It’s been receiving a far amount of comment online. Trouble in paradise?

  21. Now we know why Timmy and his colleagues get such a good run in the Sunday Herald Sun.

  22. Almost reminds me of Neighbours…

Tim goes missing….only to be conveniently found by…THE MEDIA!. Not a set up at all…

  23. Herald Sun has got it right – for $600 he would have saved taxpayers $100,000 in rescue bills by carrying an EPIRB.

He should now pay for the cost of his rescue as politicians and Ministers must be held to a higher standard.

  25. What about Timmy’s reaction to his family and partner? A bit strange? Small air kiss for Ellen, virtually told Mum to go away and didn’t even acknowledge Dad!! Emotionless and irresponsible. He should be saying sorry to taxpayers for being a dickhead. Typical weirdo ex-army reservist who likes to run around the bush in green pj’s and play pretend soldier. How much did it cost Dept of Defence to send the drone with a thermal camera to spot him? Dig a dam Timmy and stop being a kid.

  31. Oh honeys…

Pity the Chinese did not abduct him, like they did with Harold Holt.

Tim is a revolting little man.
