The Age withdraws false fraud claims against PM Gillard #auspol #ausmedia

At the heart of the problem with the credibility of the long-running conspiracy theory that has it that the Prime Minister of Australia was an embezzler twenty years ago is that those making the claims make very substantial errors of fact or have little credibility themselves.

Fairfax belatedly got onto to the story and by their grovelling apology and retraction today appear to have made a complete mess of it.

Perhaps ex-leftist union hoon Ralph Blewitt – a self-admitted fraudster and enthusiastic consumer of paid sexual services – can rescue the credibility of the fraying yarn. Or perhaps not.

Or maybe Mr Blewitt’s lawyer might save the day because he must be a reliable chap, being an officer of the court and all. Or perhaps not.
