THE TIME-BOMB: Liberal gift set to be a toxic Trojan Horse

The allegations against Speaker Slipper by James Ashby are serious but raise more questions than they ask. The Fin Review’s Marcus Priest raises some important questions about the conduct of Ashby’s lawyers.

  2. Tick, tock.

TA got in too deep with this one.

And now it turns out JB was in the know as well!

All of a sudden Coalition front benches are advocating due process when a matter of days before they were completely disregarding it and treating PS as guilty unless proven innocent.

    Tick, tock.

  6. The writ consists of a series of mere allegations just like the police investigation is a mere investigation.

Peter Slipper is innocent until proven guilty.

He hasn’t answered the question of whether he is secretly bisexual nor should he do so as he is entitled to a private life.

He may well be exonerated but his parliamentary career is over.

On most issues, he voted with good against the bad in the Liberal Party but the rumours persisted.

If people have more evidence (or even partially verifiable allegations) of wrong doing now is the time to reveal them to the relevant authorities. Unfortunately for them, what it may reveal is their complicity in silence.

Peter Slipper was one of the first members to support VSU.

I have a whole bunch of stones here waiting for the first politician who hasn’t made a mistake to start casting at Slipper. I suspect the stones will stay right where they are.

  7. Mission Accomplished.
Slippery is gone and he ain’t comin’ back.

Unless Jules is even more stupider than I thought his arse won’t see the speaker’s chair again after 2:15 this arvo.

  9. The Lib’s are a joke being involved with this bloke. He will tell all one day, then we will hear about Christopher and Mal’s involvement with him.I am strongly suggesting that will involve more than they have told us to date. Can anyone confirm that Mal studied at Duntroon? I am however prepared to accept that Christopher was merely forgetful about asking for Ashby’s phone number when first quizzed about it, rather than being deliberately dishonest. After all, seeking young mens contact details is an everyday event for the manager of opposition business. As he quite aptly explained when explaining his brief lapse of memory.

  10. PS Slippery is gone ‘shower with the door closed’. Probably wont be voting with friends of Ashby though. This could be the greatest own goal ever.

  16. Sounds like Chrissie Pynes’memory lapse was brought on by his being on-heat for new ‘friends’. Strange how new boys bring out the tiger in his tank!
