SCARY: Another MP falsely accused of rape, this time justice done

madelinetopestalker The Herald Sun reports (offline) today that Madeline Tope, a young psychiatrically disturbed woman involved in the anti-abortion lobby, has been stalking Liberal rising star Matthew Guy and falsely accused him of rape.

Guy wisely didn’t cop it sweet, taking the loon to court to stop her continuing to stalk and harass the MP.

Stalked MP wins order

SHADOW Planning Minister Matthew Guy has taken out an interim intervention order against a 21-year-old Bendigo woman he claims has been stalking him for nearly
two months.
Mr Guy yesterday told the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court that Madeline Tope had pursued him relentlessly and threatened to ruin his career since meeting in January.
An ashen-faced Mr Guy read an extract from Ms Tope’s Facebook page to the court, which outlined her plans to damage the Shadow Planning Minister’s reputation.
“He raped and almost killed me. Now I’m going to take what’s most important to him, his career,” Mr Guy told the court.
Ms Tope was a member of a pro-life group that lobbied Mr Guy last year when legislation to decriminalise abortion was before the Upper House.
The Liberal MP, 35, told the court he once met Ms Tope at her home for about “15 minutes or so” on January 28, but nothing “unusual” happened.
Magistrate Catherine Lamble was satisfied Ms Tope was stalking Mr Guy in an “unrelenting manner” and that the intervention order was necessary to protect him.

Here’s some vision of the woman speaking at an anti-abortion rally last year:

  2. D-Squared has also been subject of a false rape claim. I think the lady involved made four or five false claims about different men and was dealt by the courts.

  5. Does anyone really know Madeleine?

I do and she’s a true psycho sheltering under the post abortion/post natal depression banner. This woman is truly disturbed and DHS should pay more attention to how she is (or isn’t) caring for her children especially her daughter.

  8. I don’t understand why she’s a hero of the pro life movement – she’s describing getting pregnant to a dropkick like its a positive thing?

  11. I know Madeline Tope and the person who wrote this clearly has a nut unscrewed when it’s obvious there was no stalking going on. I don’t think that’s called stalking, I think thats called having an affair dear MP. Mm Guy must be in some shit with his wife to bring this out. What a cowardly act, Matty boy.

  22. I know Tope. This bird is a compulsive liar. Many people have tried to help her and stood by her, but she bites the hand that feeds her. She needs professional help immediately.

  23. What she needs is her kids in a good home, no more of them having to live with a mother that lies and uses people and let her kids live in human bodily fluids everywhere a nice way to say poo all over everything. She needs to be put away so she cannot ruin anymore lives, she is NOT a victim. I know first hand she told me she “consensually” loved Matthew Guy and that she wanted to bear his children.

  24. don’t trust her with kids.

  25. All the MP rapists here seem to be accused by lone nuts.

How is justice done simply by granting an AVO? If anything, that is justice delayed.

  26. Perhaps Tope should work in Tope Street, South Melbourne.

  30. It certainly could have been written for her, the lyrics are extremely accurate to the subject of this article. Some might say though that the way to make them even more accurate would be to change the opening line from ‘she leads a lonely life’ to ‘she leads a [deleted] life’, but that’s up to personal opinion.

  31. I prefer the term “massage therapist”.

  32. There is another song doing the rounds of the FM Music stations in Australia at the moment and as much as I find the lyrics rather inappropriate, whenever I hear he chorus I cannot help but think of this story:

Chorus for song ‘Don’t trust me’ –

    Posted by Anonymous | April 7, 2009, 0:26
  33. I’d never refer to Lindy as a “ho”.

    Posted by Fatty Doyle | April 7, 2009, 0:32
  34. Given that I am a self-confessed despoiler, some people call me a ho. They are not honeys.

I put the ho back in to honeys
