Most people associate social activities as being things that you do with friends or family that involve drinking alcohol. But, there are a lot of things you can do that are fun without alcohol involved. There’s no need to feel pressured into drinking when you can have a fun time with just water or soda.
Here are 5 activities that will keep your social life buzzing and not the tipsy kind!
Go to a restaurant with live music. There are a number of restaurants in larger cities that have live bands. Instead of going to the bar and listening to the same songs you hear on the radio day in and day out, go watch a live performance!
Have a movie night. Most movie theaters do not serve alcohol, so this is a great way to get out of the house and enjoy a fun evening with friends. If you can’t afford the cost of the theater (they aren’t cheap), have a movie night at your friend’s place instead.
Card and pizza night. I personally love game nights. If you’ve never had a game night with your friends, now is the time. Friendly competition is fun after all.
Alternate between cards and board games. Games like clue, life, poker, uno, monopoly, cards of humanity, rummy, bingo, or twister are great to do with friends. Order in pizza and a few sodas and you’re set!
Go on a picnic or a walk in the park. A great social activity that keeps you involved in nature is to have a picnic in your local park or walk one of the many trails available.
Go to a trampoline park, local indoor skydiving arena, or indoor rock climbing. If you have friends that love to be adventurous and enjoy a little exercise, these activities are great to do in a group setting.
